24 weeks...

I had my 24 week appointment today. Everything looks great. Baby girl is about 1 pound 9 ounces and very active. My blood pressure is great as is everything else. We had an ultrasound to make sure she is growing well and she passed with flying colors. Here are some pictures from today.

Homemade Salsa is YUMMY!

I decided to make a batch of my salsa to can. It is so simple and so delicious! Emilia was my little helper. She did a great job!

All the ingredients
The salsa is ready to put in the jars
Into the water canner they go
Tristan says "I want a taste test mama!"
My apron to keep all the tomato off my clothes...my sister gave it to me for a wedding present
Emilia taste testing
The salsa is all done
Can't wait to have some!

The Recipe:

2 large cans petite diced tomatoes

4 cans fire roasted diced tomatoes

2 cans Rotel

6 large cans diced green chilies

1/2 tube of garlic paste

1/3 tube of cilantro paste

4 tablespoons vinegar

2 tablespoons liquid smoke

2 onions cut into chunks

splash of lemon juice

dash of salt

Drain liquid from tomatoes, chilies, and Rotel. Put all ingredients in food processor and puree leaving some chunks. Heat through before putting in hot glass canning jars. Process in water canner. Makes 10 pint jars.

Let's build a fence!

We are building a fence around our yard so we can all play out there without the worry that the kids or dogs are going to run into the street. It is going to be a 4 foot cedar fence. We are getting there...slowly but surely.

What did you find Emilia?
Oh fun a grasshopper! (She called it a ya-yopter.)
Tristan is a great supervisor!

It's Fair Time!

We went to the Lewis and Clark county fair. It was small but we had a lot of fun! There were goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, and rabbits on exhibit. Tristan wanted to pet them all and Emilia wanted to kiss them all. Emilia is now trying to talk us into getting a rabbit! (She says "My rabbit go mama?") After we saw the animals, we went and checked out the carnival. The kids both loved watching the rides! They can't wait until they are big enough to ride.

They had cool quilts on display.

Emilia thought this was lamby. :)

"Mama, can I pet him?!"

Emilia thought it was funny that this goat got up on the cage to see her.

So close to reaching the bunny.

This clown made Emilia's day....

...with a very simple balloon puppy!

A perfect end to a wonderful night! The sky looked amazing!

Cute kids, a sandbox, and a new truck...oh my!

I love my kids! They are awesome and amaze me everyday with the stuff they do.

Isn't he handsome?!

Such a beautiful girl!

We have a turtle sandbox and got some sand for the kids as well as some sand toys. They love it!

Emilia "gigging in the yand mama."

Playing well together. :)
So, we discovered that three car seats do not fit in the backseat of our Jeep Grand Cherokee and with a baby on the way, we needed a new vehicle to fit everyone in. We also needed something that could tow a trailer since my parents are letting us store/use their trailer while they live in Panama. We started looking and decided that a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was the right truck for us. It is a nice comfortable ride!
